I was born in Central America, and when I was five years old, my family moved to the United States. I speak Spanish fluently since that was the primary language spoken in my home growing up. I graduated from college with a major in Visual Arts and a minor in Special Education. I have always had a passion for serving and caring for others. I taught in public school post-graduation and have also had a teaching role in Sunday School for many years. I was on staff in the Early Children’s Ministry as the Children’s Coordinator in my church in California. I have homeschooled my own kids for 13 years now and feel so blessed that I can teach them in a loving and strong Christ centered environment. I love it! Because of my desire to serve, when my kids were older, I went back to school to study nursing. I strive to teach in a fun way and really love bringing that to the classroom. I believe that learning while having fun helps to bring each student’s God-given gifts to life and helps them to become leaders wherever God directs them. My family moved to North Carolina from California 5 years ago.  God has provided for my family and has guided us every step of our journey with homeschooling. When we discovered Level-Up three years ago, we felt blessed and I now feel honored to be sharing my love for my native Language, Spanish, with the students.
